1972 Walt Disney World GAF Guide (Part 1)

For those who enjoyed the 1979 Walt Disney World guidebook that I recently posted, here's an even rarer piece of theme park ephemera that I recently purchased from MouseSurplus.

This WDW guidebook, provided compliments of one-time photographic sponsor GAF, is dated 1972. That means it was likely given away during the first year of the resort's operation. The guide features a number of attractions that no longer exist: look for Flight to the Moon and the Mike Fink Keelboats.

I'll be back soon with more images from this artifact. In the meantime, be sure to see part one and part two of my 1979 Polaroid WDW guidebook.

  1. Hmmm....my life would be easier if you'd give in and join facebook...then it would be easier to share your blog with my Disney Schooling group. Yes, Home Schoolers who use the parks as part of their curriculum.
