On Saturday, April 28th, Orlando's Mennello Museum of American Art at Loch Haven Park hosted ROLL IT!, a community printmaking festival presented by UCF's Flying Horse Editions.
Students from the school's printmaking collective organized audience-participation printing activities, highlighted by an experimental effort to make an oversized woodblock print with a steamroller.
Watch below for video from the event. More print-related activities are scheduled at the museum through the summer.
Full disclosure: my wife is the curator of education at the Mennello.

Hey, Seth--
ReplyDeleteIt's been so amazing having Flying Horse at the Mennello. As a Museum volunteer, I've noticed a real excitement and engagement on the part of Museum-goers as they share in the Flying Horse classes and view the exhibit.
Thanks for writing about it!
